The Cable Car is situated in Fuente Dé, one of the main entrances to the National Park Picos de Europa and the starting point of many trekking routes such as:
Medium Difficulty Level (2 – 3 hours)
– Horcados Rojos y Cabaña Verónica.
– Puertos de Aliva hasta Fuente Dé.
– La Padiorna.
Medium – High Difficulty Level (3 – 4 hours)
– Peña Vieja
– Pico Tesorero
– Collado Jermoso (Refugio)
But if this is the first time you visit the Picos and you want to start with easier routes, you can do one of the free guided tours organized by the National Park leaving from different points.
However, you can not forget the most famous route of Picos, the Ruta del Cares running between Cain (Leon) and Poncebos (Asturias).
